Thank you very much for filling in my survey form on Ashford Town Centre
I had 1,200 responses so this provides a good indication of the improvements people really want to see in their town centre. I will be sharing the full digest of the findings with Ashford Borough Council. You will see that the biggest reasons for staying away are a lack of the right shops and parking charges. The shops people most want to see come to Ashford are Primark and Marks and Spencer.
I will act on these findings by trying to persuade these stores to look again at Ashford, and by engaging the Police and Crime Commissioner for Kent in helping assure people that the town centre is a safe place for shopping and other leisure activities.
